From January 13 to February 28, 2026, the 31st Oldenburg Cabaret Days will host a total of eight events at the Kulturetage and Unikum under the motto “Unfortunately true.” The program brings renowned artists to the stage who capture the spirit of the times with humor, wit, and a clear stance. “Unfortunately true” – a motto that strikes a chord with the spirit of the times. In an economically and socially challenging environment, places of classification, change of perspective, and exchange are more important than ever. This is exactly where the Oldenburg Cabaret Days come in – and this is precisely why BÜFA is once again committed to being a reliable partner for this special series of events in 2026," explains Dr. Anette Koch-Wegener, Head of Corporate Marketing & Communication at the BÜFA Group. “Cabaret makes an important contribution to freedom of expression and social discourse: pointed, satirical, sometimes sharp, sometimes quiet – but always with attitude. It provides context, holds up a mirror, creates space for reflection and shared laughter. These are values that are also important to BÜFA and are lived out in our daily work,” Anette Koch-Wegener continues.
A partnership with roots
For BÜFA, the Kulturetage is much more than just a venue. Where concerts, variety shows, and cabaret take place today, BÜFA's history began 140 years ago with a colonial goods store. The Oldenburg-based family business intends to continue this close connection successfully and responsibly in the future—especially in times when reliability and long-term partnerships are becoming even more important. BÜFA has been supporting the Oldenburg Cabaret Days for more than 25 years now.
A varied program with well-known artists
Among those taking part are Abdelkarim, who dissects everyday life in his program “Plan Z,” which combines cabaret and comedy, Lara Ermer with her pointed and intelligent take on social debates, and Suchtpotenzial, who thrill audiences with their musical cabaret and great stage energy. The complete program is summarized in the official Kulturetage program booklet.
BÜFA as a reliable partner – for our customers and cooperation partners
With our commitment, we want to send a clear message: even in economically challenging times, BÜFA sees itself as a strong, reliable partner – for cultural institutions, cooperation partners, and the region. For BÜFA, sustainable action means not only economic stability, but also social responsibility and the conscious promotion of culture and dialogue.
