Anticipation for the new basketball season is building: At the EWE Baskets Oldenburg’s traditional season kickoff event on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, partners and sponsors gathered at the Große EWE Arena to look ahead to the 2026–27 season together. In addition to insights into the EWE Baskets’ athletic and strategic direction, the focus was above all on personal interaction. The evening offered plenty of opportunities for conversations, new connections, and encounters within the club’s strong partner network.

From the Sponsors’ Reception to the Court
Following this joint kickoff, the focus now shifts to the sporting side of things: Today, September 6, EWE Baskets Day will take place at the Große EWE Arena. There, the newly formed team will introduce itself to local fans for the first time and face the Veolia Towers Hamburg in a preseason game. Things will get serious on September 20: To kick off the new Bundesliga season, the EWE Baskets will host SYNTAINICS MBC in front of a home crowd in Oldenburg.
