Together with our partners, we support projects for future generations
For BÜFA, social engagement is part of our corporate responsibility—
especially as a responsible family-owned business in the chemical industry.
In the spirit of New Chemistry, we not only develop solutions for industries,
but also actively engage with our local community.
Since our founding in Oldenburg in 1883, we have maintained close ties to our region.
That is why we aim to make a lasting contribution to the common good of Oldenburg and the surrounding area through our initiatives.
We primarily support regional projects, events, associations, and initiatives, as well as the communities surrounding our locations in Germany.
Together with our partners, we want to inspire change, empower people, and actively shape our future and that of our grandchildren.
Funding Priorities
We support projects in selected areas that are closely aligned with our vision and our strategic focus areas of digitalization, innovation, and sustainability:
Art and Culture – for a vibrant society
Education – particularly in the natural sciences, digitalization, innovation, and sustainability
Social Issues – with a focus on integration and inclusion
Sports – with regional and national reach
We support projects in the fields of art and culture, education, social welfare, and sports—particularly those with a regional connection to our locations and that provide lasting social benefits.
Funding is provided for time-limited, clearly defined projects with specific objectives.
Schools, kindergartens, colleges, and universities; nonprofit organizations and initiatives; clubs and institutions
Recipients of sponsorship funds may also include organizations or groups in the fields of sports, arts and culture, social services, or education that are not registered as nonprofit organizations.

The amount of funding depends on the scope and impact of the project. There is no set funding amount.
Applications are reviewed on a regular basis. As a rule, applicants receive a response within a few weeks.
Donations are made without expecting anything in return and support charitable causes. Sponsorship involves a reciprocal arrangement and is based on a partnership.
