We make Work at BÜFA safe, fair, and sustainable.
At BÜFA, safety, fairness, and development are at the heart of our daily work. We create uniform safety standards at all our sites and invest specifically in the training and development of our employees—for a working environment that protects, empowers, and offers prospects.

Occupational safety and health
BÜFA emphasizes its responsibility as a safe employer by maintaining uniform safety standards at all locations. As part of this effort, we installed clearly visible road markings with a speed limit of 20 km/h at the BÜFA Composite Systems site in Rastede in 2024—a step toward standardizing speed regulations and increasing traffic safety, especially for external visitors. In addition, we have clearly separated walking routes from vehicle routes to minimize the risk of accidents and improve logistical processes. We have also re-marked escape and hazard routes at our international sites, such as BÜFA Composites Spain – measures that consistently focus on the protection of our employees.

Education and training
BÜFA promotes the development of its employees through personnel development, lifelong learning, and individual support measures such as coaching and AI-supported team development. New employees are integrated through mentoring and targeted induction training. Trainees benefit from introductory days, workshops, support in obtaining additional qualifications, and practical experience in the trainee company. Since 2024, we have been offering school students the opportunity to get to know our company as part of a rotation internship. They spend time in various departments such as production, sales, and logistics, gaining a wide range of insights into up to eight different apprenticeship professions. In this way, we support young talent in their career orientation and show them the exciting prospects in the world of chemistry.

Participation and democratic dialogue at BÜFA
We promote a culture of open discussion and, as an international group of companies, we are firmly committed to the values of democracy – diversity, tolerance, dignity, and freedom. For example, we organized a political simulation game for the 2024 European elections, giving our employees the opportunity to step into the shoes of EU politicians for a day and actively experience political decision-making processes and gain different perspectives. Together with the SimEP Oldenburg association, a fictitious EU law was negotiated – a living example of active participation and democratic dialogue at BÜFA.
