The BÜFA Group's IT Infrastructure team regularly works at BÜFA's European locations to modernize the network infrastructure and gradually integrate locations fully into the central IT environment—from office workstations to warehouse and logistics systems. Particularly in the case of newly acquired companies within the BÜFA Group, it is crucial to analyze the existing infrastructure and gradually bring it up to a common, group-wide IT standard.
The infrastructure team deliberately focuses on on-site presence. This is the only way to realistically assess existing structures and develop them in a targeted manner:
“It is crucial for our work to get to know the conditions at the locations personally. Only when we understand the current situation on site can we make an informed assessment of which measures make sense and how we can further develop the IT infrastructure in a sustainable manner,” explains IT system administrator Christian Osterthun.
The shared IT structure promotes smooth international cooperation within the BÜFA Group. Through shared systems, processes, and security standards, we create transparency, reduce complexity, and enable stable, reliable IT operations across national borders.
