What is it really like to work at a chemical company—and what responsibilities does the job entail?
At Future Day 2026, we gave young visitors aged 9 to 13 a firsthand look at exactly that at our BÜFA Composite Systems site in Rastede and our BÜFA Cleaning site in Oldenburg.
Transparency and understanding are best fostered through hands-on experience. That’s why the children were able to:
- explore intelligent testing systems that evaluate components
- gain insight into the complex structure of materials
- demonstrate skill and precision on the forklift course
- make their own scented soaps and color safety goggles in the lab
As a chemical company, we see it as our mission to provide insights, impart knowledge, and spark enthusiasm for careers in the natural sciences. Future Day is an important step for us in opening our doors and fostering early interest in our industry.
