Your tasks and activities
During your three-year training program, you will acquire all the expertise required to become an IT specialist for application development.
- Development, customization, and maintenance of internal software applications
- Programming in modern languages and frameworks (e.g. NAV-based C/AL (Client/Application Language) in the C/SIDE (Classic Development Environment) development environment or BC AL (Application Language) in the Visual Studio Code + AL Extension development environment)
- Analysis of requirements and development of technical solutions
- Testing and documenting applications
- Collaboration on a variety of IT projects
- Supporting specialist departments with software-related issues
Your training history
1st year of training
You will be assigned to your so-called home department at BÜFA Holding in Oldenburg. During your 3-year training period, you will get to know all BÜFA locations and gain and apply your expertise there for the benefit of the employees and the production process. From the very beginning, you will be integrated into the normal daily work routine and introduced to all tasks. You will take on your first programming tasks and get started in software development. This will allow you to gather as many impressions and experiences as possible.
Vocational school classes will take place at BBS Haarentor in Oldenburg. In the first year of training, you will attend school two days a week. In the second and third years of training, you will only attend school once a week.
Second year of training
As in the first year of training, you will work from the holding company for all locations and learn everything about your job description through daily practice. At the same time, you will supervise cool projects with your IT colleagues, develop your own applications, and implement and accompany the constant changes in the IT world at BÜFA.
Third year of training
You will prepare intensively for your exam and work on your final project. To this end, you will complete internships and attend external training courses.
Soft skills and requirements
- Good secondary school diploma or high school diploma
- Strong affinity for technology and IT – perhaps you are also the go-to person in your family and among your friends when it comes to computer questions?
- Analytical and meticulous work is second nature to you
- Creativity in finding solutions
- Ability to work in a team and enjoy communicating, because without IT, a company is paralyzed
