Your tasks and activities
Your training in Oldenburg will last three years. You will acquire all the e-commerce expertise you need to successfully complete your training. Your tasks and activities will include:
- Designing, managing, and developing product or service ranges for online retail
- Organizing customer communication
- Processing orders
- Controlling and evaluating marketing measures
- Preparing and implementing online marketing measures
Your training history
1st year of training
Your main department will be the online shop of BÜFA Chemikalien, BÜFA Reinigungssysteme, or the sodasan shop of grüner shoppen. First, you will learn the basics so that you can successfully master the tasks in e-commerce and manage the online shop. You will quickly start working independently.
Vocational school classes take place twice a week at BBS Haarentor. In the second and third years of training, you will only have classes once a week. The school also offers an additional qualification as a European Business Administrator (m/f/d).
Second year of training
To gain a deeper insight into the entire company, you will work in various departments. These may be located at different sites in Oldenburg. For example, you will get to know the logistics department, accounting, or traditional sales.
Third year of training
You will return to your home department and prepare intensively for your final exam.
Soft skills and requirements
The training program requires a good secondary school diploma, including good grades in mathematics, German, and English. You should also be interested in technology and have the following soft skills:
- Very good communication skills (written/verbal)
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn
- Commitment and sense of responsibility
- Analytical skills and numerical comprehension
- High level of online affinity
- Foreign language skills
Your prospects after training
Those who complete their final exam with a grade of 2.5 or higher usually receive a contract for at least 12 months after completing their training. However, all trainees can apply for internal job vacancies even before this.
