For over seven decades, the Oldenburg State Tournament has been thrilling audiences with high-level equestrian sports, captivating equestrian enthusiasts year after year. And for around a decade, BÜFA has been a sponsoring partner of this traditional event. In addition to top sporting performances, the tournament also offers a wonderful opportunity to combine impressive equestrian skills with charitable commitment – and this is precisely what the Oldenburg-based chemical company is striving to achieve.
This year, the BÜFA donation ribbon campaign was held for the second time. The tournament ribbons, a symbol of recognition and a souvenir for the participants, could be returned for a good cause. With each ribbon returned, BÜFA supported the Funkelschweif e.V. association.
This resulted in a donation of €2,000, which Funkelschweif will put towards its valuable work: children with cancer and disabilities are given the opportunity to regain their strength through equine therapy. Therapeutic riding not only gives the children joy, courage and self-confidence, but also has a positive effect on their motor skills, perception, learning, well-being and behaviour. BÜFA is impressed by the tremendous commitment with which the volunteer team at Funkelschweif carries out this important work – and is delighted to be able to contribute to it.
