BÜFA Group receives gold status from EcoVadis for sustainability successes

The BÜFA Group has received the gold medal from the independent rating company EcoVadis for its measures and successes in the area of sustainability. With 73 out of a possible 100 points in the overall assessment, BÜFA is among the top four percent of the best-rated medium-sized companies in the sector "Production of chemical base materials, fertilizers and nitrogen compounds, plastics in primary forms and synthetic rubber in primary forms". EcoVadis evaluates company policies and measures as well as published reporting in the four topic areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In analyzing and evaluating the company data, the experts take into account the company's industry, size and geographical location.
In particular, BÜFA received an above-average rating in the area of environment, where the topics of energy consumption and greenhouse gases, water, biodiversity, air pollution, raw materials as well as chemicals and waste were analyzed. With the objective rating from EcoVadis, BÜFA is pursuing its goal of constantly making all its activities more sustainable - from both an ecological and social perspective. In addition to the company's sustainability successes and strengths, EcoVadis also highlights unused potential, risks and concrete suggestions for improvement in its report. In this way, the rating supports BÜFA in achieving its sustainability goals and increasing its sustainability performance and value creation. BÜFA communicates this holistic sustainable corporate development transparently. Customers of the Oldenburg-based group of companies now have the opportunity to view the EcoVadis rating sheet.
