Medical masks for Ukraine

BÜFA donates 10,000 surgical masks to "Christlich medizinische Hilfe direkt" association

The situation of the people in Ukraine is still dramatic, help is still needed, especially now in the winter time. In order to be able to provide direct support for medical care on the ground, a team of doctors from Oldenburg, Delmenhorst and Bremerhaven, most of whom have Ukrainian roots, got together at the beginning of the war and founded the association "Christian Medical Aid Direct".

BÜFA has now donated 10,000 medical masks to this dedicated team, which were purchased in large quantities during the Corona pandemic. "We would only store the masks while they are missing in the hospitals in Ukraine," reports Felix Thalmann, Chairman and CEO of the BÜFA Group. "For this reason, we are happy to hand over the surgical masks to the association, which will take them exactly where they are urgently needed."

The association "Christian Medical Aid Direct" is in close contact with Ukrainian hospitals, doctors and authorities, organizes transports and also accompanies them personally. "We continue to help where we can and do not leave the people in Ukraine alone in their greatest need," says team member Alexander Iltschuk, a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery as well as emergency medicine at Oldenburg Hospital. "That's why we are very happy about the donation from BÜFA."
