BÜFA again participates in HTGF (High-Tech Founding Fund) seed fund

After 2017, the Oldenburg-based chemical company also invests in the fourth fund

After BÜFA already participated in the third launch of the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) five years ago, the Oldenburg-based chemical company is once again acting as an investor in the fourth fund. In doing so, BÜFA is continuing a successful partnership to provide important impetus for technological trends of the future.

HTGF is one of the most active and largest venture capital funds in Europe. Since 2005, it has been supporting the innovative ideas of young technology companies through financial participation, advice and its comprehensive network. The fund’s recipe for success is the public-private partnership, i.e. the cooperation between public and private investors.

The new fund has already reached a volume of over 400 million euros in its first closing. More than 40 companies have participated, along with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and KfW Capital.

„The investments in HTGF’s funds offer us the chance to recognize technological developments and trends at an early stage, to talk to agile start-ups and to be inspired,“ Felix Thalmann, CEO of the BÜFA Group, explains the investment. The joint exchange between investors, young technology companies and HTGF’s team of experts is valuable for advancing innovative, sustainable ideas and entrepreneurship in Germany.
